Work that I did while at Firaxis games for XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
Goddamn, these things are assholes.
Man, the Cyberdisk was my favorite enemy and my least favorite at once. It was my favorite because it had a really cool design, and could fold in and out in all kinds of cool ways. It was my least favorite because they tend to wipe out my favorite soldiers in one or two shots. Cool concept art, thanks for sharing.
Oh man, it is so cool to find your work here. The Cyberdisc has so many moving parts... If I was handed that concept on paper, I wouldn't know where to start. You made it into something awesome, though.
Thanks I'm pretty happy with how it turned out in game - the modelers, animators, and programmers really did a kickass job.
Really liked the design of the Cyberdisk in the game. The transformation is really nice.
the disk is very cool
I played both games and the disk is one of my favourites. Good job on the transforming.
Awesome work. You really made this thing seem threatening and alive.
i loved the bottom one, but i don't know why it makes me want to eat it.
The "laser vortex" sounds like bad news... glad it didn't make it into the game.
I assume that's the area-of-effect attack they can do whenever they get too close.
...you worked on xcom? Awesome! It was a great reinterpretation of the original imo, not in the least because the degins felt just right. So genuinely thanks for contributing
